Tripura Launches T-RISE Portal to Strengthen Startup Ecosystem, Signs MoUs with HDFC Bank, Amazon and Zoho

Agartala, August 17, 2026: The Government of Tripura has launched the T-RISE (Tripura Registry & Integration for Startup Ecosystem) Portal, an integrated digital platform aimed at strengthening the state’s startup ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, corporates, incubators, academic institutions and government departments.
The portal was unveiled during the “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” workshop organised by the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, in collaboration with T-Hub, Hyderabad, at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala.
The initiative is part of Tripura’s broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and technology-driven economic growth across the state.

T-RISE to Create a Single-Window Startup Ecosystem
T-RISE has been designed as a single-window digital platform bringing together different stakeholders involved in building and scaling startups.
According to the government release, the platform is expected to provide entrepreneurs access to a network comprising 20+ mentors, 10+ investors, 10+ corporates, incubators and domain experts covering areas including technology, finance, marketing, legal services and business strategy.
The platform will also seek to connect professionals, entrepreneurs and technology leaders with roots in Tripura to the state’s emerging startup ecosystem.
The objective is to provide startups with structured support throughout their entrepreneurial journey — from developing an idea and validating a business model to accessing mentorship, capital and markets.

Tripura Signs Strategic MoUs
Alongside the launch of T-RISE, strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged with HDFC Bank Limited, Amazon Seller Services Private Limited (Amazon.in), and Zoho Corporation Private Limited.
According to the release, these collaborations are intended to provide startups with access to areas such as specialised financial products, digital business solutions, e-commerce and export opportunities, cloud technologies, mentorship, technical advisory services and capacity-building programmes.
The partnerships are expected to help Tripura-based startups improve their ability to compete in national and international markets.
More Than 185 Startup Applications Received
The government also shared an update on the progress of its New Sector-Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy.
According to figures provided in the press release:
- More than 185 startup applications have been received.
- 140 registrations have been approved.
- 70 startups have been recognised.
- More than ₹2.72 crore in financial assistance has been extended to entrepreneurs.
The financial support has been provided through initiatives including the Tri-Seed Fund, Proof of Concept (PoC) support and operational assistance.
The state has also established T-NEST, a state-level incubation centre at the International Business Centre in Hapania. The centre is intended to provide incubation, mentorship, technical guidance and market linkages to emerging businesses.
DIT has additionally partnered with T-Hub as a knowledge partner to bring accelerator expertise and startup networks into the implementation of the state’s startup policy.
Government Focuses on Innovation-Led Economy
The workshop was inaugurated by Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister for Information Technology, Finance, Planning & Coordination, Government of Tripura.
The event was also attended by senior government officials including Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary to the Chief Minister and GA (Good Governance); Dr. P. K. Goyal, IAS, Secretary, Information Technology & Finance; and Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director, Information Technology, alongside industry leaders, investors, startup founders and representatives from academia and innovation ecosystems.
During the programme, the government reiterated its focus on building an innovation-led economy and encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs, job creators and technology leaders.
The initiatives are being implemented under the leadership of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, with the state seeking to use policy support, incubation, digital infrastructure and industry partnerships to encourage entrepreneurship and attract investment.
T-Hub Conducts Startup Mentoring Sessions
The programme also featured expert-led sessions by T-Hub covering innovation management, business scaling, fundraising and market expansion.
Startup founders and entrepreneurs also participated in an interaction with Tejaswi Bhagavatula, VP, Skyroot Aerospace, and other startup representatives, providing participants with insights into building and scaling technology-led businesses.
The broader “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” initiative seeks to encourage entrepreneurs in the state to develop high-growth and scalable ventures capable of competing beyond regional markets.
Through T-RISE, T-NEST, financial assistance programmes and partnerships with private-sector organisations, the Government of Tripura is seeking to create a more integrated startup support infrastructure and position the state as an emerging entrepreneurship and innovation destination in Eastern and North-East India.
