The Func. Lab Launches CREASalts and Protein + Creatine Range

Mumbai, October 27, 2026: The Func. Lab has entered the creatine category with CREASalts and a Protein + Creatine range, extending its portfolio across hydration and protein formats. The company says the products are intended to make creatine part of routines consumers already follow, rather than introducing an additional preparation step. The launch includes plant-based and whey-based protein formulations as well as a drink combining creatine with electrolytes.

CREASalts combines multiple ingredients

According to the brand, each serving of CREASalts contains 3 g of creatine monohydrate, 500 mg of sodium, 105 mg of potassium, 30 mg of magnesium and 1 g of taurine. The company positions the product as a combined creatine and hydration format. These quantities are the formulation figures supplied in the launch announcement, rather than results from independent testing conducted for this report.

CREASalts is offered in Watermelon, Guava, Berry and Citrus (Lemon) flavours. The announced price is ₹500 for 15 servings and ₹1,000 for 30 servings. These are launch prices stated by the brand; actual retail offers, delivery charges and availability may vary by channel. The announcement does not provide a complete product label or explain whether all flavour options have identical additional ingredients.

The formulation-led positioning is a central part of the launch. Instead of presenting flavour as the only difference between products, The Func. Lab emphasises the combination of creatine and electrolytes in one drink. That describes the product concept. It does not establish that a combined product is appropriate for every consumer or demonstrate a specific performance advantage over taking ingredients separately.

Plant and whey protein options

The Protein + Creatine range brings 3 g of creatine monohydrate into each serving of a protein product. The plant-based formulation combines pea and rice protein isolates, while the whey-based version combines whey protein with creatine. The announcement lists Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla, Coffee and Unflavoured variants across the range, without supplying a model-by-model availability matrix.

Plant Protein + Creatine is priced at ₹600 for a Travel Pack, ₹1,250 for 500 g, ₹2,500 for 1 kg and ₹4,500 for 2 kg. Whey Protein + Creatine is priced at ₹1,500 for a Travel Pack, ₹3,600 for 500 g, ₹7,000 for 1 kg and ₹11,900 for 2 kg. The launch material does not state the weight or number of servings in the Travel Packs.

The release also does not give the protein quantity per serving, the scoop size or the complete nutrition panel for each formulation. Pack weight and serving count are different measures, so the listed prices alone do not allow a consistent per-serving comparison across every option. Those details will need to be checked against the finished product information for a specific variant.

Convenience shapes the positioning

The company’s theme for the launch is to build creatine into existing routines. Hydration drinks and protein shakes are the two formats highlighted. The broader range also includes a standalone creatine option, according to the announcement, although detailed pricing for that product is not supplied in the release. The brand’s stated objective is to offer different formats rather than prescribe one way of consuming its products.

Co-founder Sohrab Khushrushahi said the company had looked at how people form habits and wanted to make creatine part of a familiar hydration routine. His comments place consistency and convenience at the centre of the product strategy. They do not report measured adherence data from customers using the new range or a study comparing the combined formats with separate products.

Co-founder Sahil Kukreja similarly described the combination of ingredients as a way to reduce the number of things consumers must measure and mix. The company presents this as part of a function-first approach to formulation. Whether that convenience appeals to a particular user will depend on their existing routine and product preferences; the launch does not disclose consumer research measuring that response.

A broader audience for the category

Co-founder Daneesh Davar said the company wanted to make the category feel more accessible to women and move beyond the perception that creatine products are only for male bodybuilders. This is part of the brand’s audience positioning. The announcement does not include a clinical study of the finished products in women or report health outcomes associated with their use.

The release makes broad references to performance nutrition and research around creatine. Such category statements should be distinguished from evidence for a particular commercial formulation. The product launch described here establishes the ingredients, formats and prices announced by the company; it is not an independent assessment of effectiveness, suitability or individual nutritional requirements.

The Func. Lab also describes its wider portfolio as using transparent formulations and independently tested products. The supplied announcement does not include the underlying laboratory reports, certification identifiers or batch-specific results. Those statements remain brand claims in this coverage, rather than verification of the contents of every pack offered for sale.

Distribution and the existing portfolio

The Func. Lab was founded by Khushrushahi, Kukreja and Davar. It describes itself as an Indian performance and functional nutrition company with products spanning hydration and protein. Its existing portfolio includes whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, plant protein and Salty Electrolytes. The creatine launch extends those formats into a new combined-product offering.

The company said products would be available through its official website and marketplaces including Amazon and Flipkart. It also reported an offline presence in selected premium supermarkets, wellness stores and gyms across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The release does not provide a store list or confirm that every new product and pack size is stocked at each location.

The immediate business development is therefore a portfolio expansion built around combining creatine with familiar product formats. Further information on complete labels, variant availability, serving sizes and channel rollout would allow a more detailed product comparison. The announcement does not disclose revenue targets, production capacity or sales results for the new range, so its commercial reception remains to be established after launch.

The company has not announced a separate fundraising event or manufacturing investment with this launch. Its stated focus is on product design, convenience and distribution across the channels identified in the release.
