Vaia Expands into US Market, Targets Financial Institutions with Agentic AI Platform
Bengaluru-born AI company plans to build a local US team as it expands its financial intelligence, investment research and enterprise AI capabilities for banks, wealth managers and investment firms.

Bengaluru, September 23, 2026: Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence company Vaia has announced its expansion into the United States, targeting banks, investment firms, wealth managers and family offices as financial institutions increase their adoption of AI across investment, data, reporting and operational workflows.
The company, which develops proprietary financial and sustainability large language models, agentic AI systems and managed technology solutions, said the US expansion represents the next phase of its international growth strategy.
Vaia to Build In-House US Team
As part of the expansion, Vaia is building an in-house team in the United States spanning technology, product, domain expertise and go-to-market functions.
The company said it has allocated 22% of its funds towards US hiring and expansion, with the aim of building a local presence rather than serving American financial institutions remotely from India.
Shruthi Cauvery, Founder of Vaia, said the expansion is intended to combine capabilities developed in India with teams that understand the requirements of the US financial services market.
“This is not simply about taking an Indian product to the US. We are building Vaia in the US as well, with local technology, product and commercial teams who understand the market deeply and can build alongside our clients,” Cauvery said.
She added that the company aims to bring together expertise from both ecosystems as it builds a global financial AI business.
Focus on Managed AI Services for Financial Institutions
Rather than operating around a single standalone AI product, Vaia follows a managed-services model designed around institutional requirements.
Its capabilities span investment research, due diligence, financial modelling, portfolio intelligence, wealth advisory, reporting, compliance, sustainability and enterprise knowledge management.
The company says it can design, build, integrate, deploy and manage technology according to the workflows and requirements of individual financial institutions.
Under this model, Vaia intends to act as a single partner across AI, data, workflows and execution, reducing the need for institutions to work separately with AI vendors, implementation partners, data teams and workflow consultants.
OlafAI at the Centre of Vaia’s Platform
At the centre of Vaia’s technology platform is OlafAI, its AI agent, supported by proprietary financial and sustainability models and enterprise integrations.
The platform is designed to connect information distributed across documents, spreadsheets, customer relationship management systems, data rooms and internal enterprise systems, and convert that information into usable intelligence for different teams.
The company’s US strategy will focus on direct engagement with senior decision-makers, supported by a team located within the market.
Vaia said the United States is expected to become not only a commercial market but also an important centre for customer learning, product development and financial-services expertise.
Expanding Global Financial AI Footprint
Vaia’s broader technology ecosystem includes NVIDIA Connect, the AWS partner ecosystem, the Anthropic Partner Network, Cloudflare for Startups and the Sarvam AI Startup Program. The company also receives subsidised AI compute through the IndiaAI Mission, according to the press release.
The company believes financial institutions are increasingly moving beyond isolated AI applications towards systems capable of understanding institutional data, operational workflows and business context.
Its expansion into the US is therefore positioned around becoming a technology and managed-services partner across multiple functions within financial institutions.
Vaia currently describes itself as an AI-first investment and sustainability advisory firm combining proprietary LLMs, agentic AI, enterprise integrations and financial-domain expertise. The company says it is building and serving institutions across India, Europe and the United States.
