Bakingo Raises ₹100 Crore in Series B Funding from Existing Investor Faering Capital

New Delhi, India: Online bakery and dessert platform Bakingo has raised ₹100 crore (approximately $10.5 million) in a Series B funding round led by existing investor Faering Capital, as the company looks to strengthen its operations, expand its market presence and invest further in technology and product development.

The latest fundraise marks another significant milestone for Bakingo as it enters its next phase of growth in India’s rapidly expanding online bakery and food-delivery ecosystem.

Fresh Capital to Support Expansion and Technology

Bakingo plans to deploy the newly raised capital toward general business requirements, operational expansion, technology investments and product development.

The company is also expected to use the funding to strengthen its presence across existing markets while creating capacity for further expansion. The focus on technology and product development reflects the increasing importance of digital ordering, customer experience and operational efficiency in India’s competitive food and dessert market.

400+ Cake Designs Across 30+ Cities

Founded as an online bakery platform, Bakingo offers a wide portfolio of cakes and desserts, with more than 400 cake designs spanning categories such as cheesecakes, gourmet cakes, jar cakes and customised cakes.

The company currently operates through 100+ kitchens across more than 30 cities, giving it a substantial operational footprint in India’s online bakery segment.

Its model combines digital ordering with a distributed kitchen network, enabling the company to serve customers across multiple locations while offering a broad selection of products for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations and gifting.

Faering Capital Continues Its Backing

Faering Capital, an existing investor in Bakingo, led the latest Series B round. The investment comes nearly three years after the company’s previous $16 million fundraise from the investment firm.

The continued participation of an existing investor underscores the confidence in Bakingo’s business model and its ability to scale within India’s growing organised bakery and dessert market.

Valuation Rises 2.6X

Alongside the fresh capital, Bakingo’s valuation has reportedly increased 2.6 times to ₹1,643 crore (approximately $173 million).

The valuation growth highlights the company’s expansion since its previous institutional fundraise and reflects broader investor interest in consumer-facing food businesses that combine technology, digital commerce and physical fulfilment infrastructure.

Bakingo’s expanding kitchen network and presence across more than 30 cities provide the company with a platform to deepen its market penetration while potentially entering additional markets.

Betting on India’s Online Bakery Opportunity

India’s bakery and dessert market is undergoing a shift as consumers increasingly use digital platforms to discover, customise and order cakes and other celebration products.

For companies such as Bakingo, the opportunity extends beyond convenience. Personalisation, rapid fulfilment, product variety and occasion-based purchasing are becoming important differentiators in the segment.

With ₹100 crore in fresh capital, Bakingo now has additional resources to invest in these areas while strengthening its operational infrastructure.

The latest round also comes at a time when consumer businesses are increasingly expected to demonstrate efficient growth, strong unit economics and scalable operating models. Bakingo’s next phase will therefore be closely watched as it seeks to expand its footprint while building a larger technology-enabled bakery business.

Leadership and Growth

Bakingo was founded by Himanshu Chawla, Shrey Sehgal and Suman Patra, who have led the company’s expansion from an online bakery venture into a multi-city operation with more than 100 kitchens.

The Series B funding provides the company with fresh capital to pursue its growth roadmap and further establish its position in India’s competitive online bakery and dessert ecosystem.
