Mariana Minerals Raises $310 Million in Series B Funding to Accelerate AI-Driven Critical Minerals Production

San Francisco, August 3, 2026: Mariana Minerals, a software-first, vertically integrated critical minerals company, has announced the successful close of a $310 million Series B funding round led by Khosla Ventures. The investment will accelerate the development of the company’s AI-powered mining and refining platform while expanding its portfolio of critical mineral projects across the United States.
The latest funding round also saw continued participation from existing investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, alongside new investors such as Greenoaks, Halo Fund, Pax Ventures, StepStone Group, BHP Ventures, Washington Harbour Partners, Greycroft, Mitsubishi Corporation, In-Q-Tel (IQT), Earthshot Ventures, and several others. Following the raise, Mariana has secured approximately $400 million in total funding and is valued at $1.5 billion.
Founded with the vision of transforming how critical minerals are discovered, developed, and refined, Mariana combines advanced software, artificial intelligence, automation, and vertically integrated operations to modernize an industry that has traditionally relied on fragmented and manual processes. Its proprietary platform, MarianaOS, provides real-time intelligence across the entire mining lifecycle—from project development and extraction to refining and production.
The fresh capital will primarily support the expansion of Mariana’s active project portfolio, including its flagship Copper One project in southeastern Utah, while strengthening the deployment of MarianaOS across future mining operations. The company aims to significantly reduce project development timelines and improve operational efficiency through automation and AI-powered decision-making.
The investment reflects growing confidence in technology-enabled mining solutions as governments and industries worldwide seek reliable supplies of critical minerals essential for electric vehicles, renewable energy infrastructure, artificial intelligence hardware, and defense technologies. Mariana’s approach positions it at the intersection of industrial automation, advanced software, and strategic resource development.
Industry analysts note that demand for minerals such as copper, lithium, and nickel is expected to rise sharply over the coming decade, driven by global electrification and AI infrastructure expansion. By integrating software with physical mining assets, Mariana seeks to build a more resilient, efficient, and scalable supply chain for these strategically important materials.
With its latest funding milestone, Mariana Minerals plans to accelerate commercial deployment, expand its engineering and operational capabilities, and further establish itself as a leading technology-driven player in the global critical minerals sector.
