Aurrevia Launches ₹100 Crore AIF with Unique Investment Strategy

Mumbai, July 15, 2026: Aurrevia, a research-driven investment platform, has announced the launch of its Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), marking a significant milestone with its first ₹100 crore (USD 10 million) commitment from the Kothari Family Office through Aarii Ventures.
The newly launched fund is an actively managed public equities strategy built on Aurrevia’s proprietary dual-strategy “TechnoValue” investing framework. This approach combines deep fundamental analysis with momentum-based market insights, aiming to generate long-term, risk-adjusted returns for sophisticated investors. The fund integrates two core strategies—Deep Value and Momentum—supported by disciplined portfolio construction and active risk management.
The anchor investment from the Kothari Family Office underscores growing confidence among family offices and long-term capital allocators in India’s alternative investment ecosystem. Speaking on the investment, Aarii Ventures highlighted that its decision to back Aurrevia was driven by strong conviction in the founding team, a clearly differentiated investment framework, and a disciplined approach to risk management. The firm noted that Aurrevia’s TechnoValue strategy—integrating fundamentals, technicals, valuation, and event-driven triggers—offers a structured yet adaptive way to navigate public markets. Additionally, Aurrevia’s emphasis on governance, transparency, and a well-defined exclusion framework aligned closely with Aarii Ventures’ philosophy of responsible and long-term capital allocation.
India’s alternatives market has been witnessing rapid expansion. As of March 2026, cumulative commitments across Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) have surpassed ₹16.9 lakh crore, with Category III AIFs alone accounting for over ₹3.14 lakh crore. This growth reflects a structural shift in investor preferences toward actively managed and performance-driven strategies beyond traditional asset classes.
Aurrevia’s investment philosophy focuses on identifying opportunities across sectors and market capitalisations by combining value-oriented investing with trend-based analysis. The framework is designed to balance capital preservation with long-term wealth creation through a structured and repeatable investment process.
Notably, the fund incorporates a formal negative screening mandate, excluding sectors such as tobacco, liquor, gambling, meat, and leather. This reflects the firm’s commitment to governance-led investing, transparency, and responsible capital allocation.
The firm has been co-founded by Sagar Nishar, Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer, and Suyog Dhavan, Co-founder of Aurrevia and Founder & CIO of Strategic Alpha. Together, they bring extensive experience across public markets, investment research, portfolio management, and private capital.
Prior to co-founding Aurrevia, Sagar Nishar served as Chief Investment Officer at Aarii Ventures, where he oversaw investments across public and private markets and worked closely with founders, family offices, and institutional investors. He has also been recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list for Finance & Venture Capital.
Suyog Dhavan is the architect of the TechnoValue (FTVT) investing framework, integrating Fundamentals, Technicals, Valuation, and Event Triggers to identify high-conviction opportunities. He previously founded StrategicAlpha and The Conviction Club.
Commenting on the launch, Sagar Nishar said, “Aurrevia was founded on a simple belief: the best investment opportunities are often identified before they become widely recognised by the market. Our investment approach combines deep fundamental research, disciplined portfolio construction, and a relentless focus on risk-adjusted returns. We are grateful for the confidence placed in us by our investors, particularly the Kothari Family Office, whose commitment at launch reflects a shared belief in our long-term vision. As we begin this journey, our focus remains unchanged: protecting capital, compounding wealth, and delivering sustainable outcomes for our investors.”
Suyog Dhavan added, “The launch of Aurrevia brings together complementary strengths across investing, research, and strategic thinking. In an increasingly noisy market environment, we believe investment success comes from disciplined decision-making, strong governance, and the ability to act with conviction when opportunities emerge. Our objective is to build an institution that remains trusted by investors across market cycles while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and analytical excellence.”
As India’s private wealth landscape continues to evolve, Aurrevia aims to play a key role in advancing institutional-grade investing through a transparent, process-driven, and research-focused platform.
